Payroll Service Officer
Clerk Grade:

Salary Range:
$102,936 to $113,579
Employment Type:
Temporary (with potential for Ongoing in the future)
Location:
Paramatta - Hybrid
opportunity.
In-office requirement 2-3 days a week as a minimum, which could be
subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies.

About the team
Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division
in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional
shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and
delivering their services.
We are developing and delivering a roadmap
to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and
deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW
Government Departments.
What you will do
As a Payroll Service Officer you will provide assistance to Payroll Support Officers within your team.
Support team members in resolving issues, working across teams, and implementing new ways of working.
Lead a team of payroll staff to ensure effective payroll services are delivered in a timely manner.
You will be responsible for managing team workloads on a daily basis.
You will support the team to be customer focused and work together within a culture of mutual respect, honesty and integrity with a requirement to meet tight deadlines and high volumes.
About You




Previous experience providing payroll solutions in large environments highly advantageous:
Knowledge of SAP payroll systems or similar
Payroll transactional experience
Demonstrated ability to lead a team or prior experience in mentoring others
Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, high-volume, and dynamic team environment.
Sound understanding of Australian legislative requirements related to employee payments.
Resilient, accountable, and adaptable, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
Effective communication with peers, stakeholders and customers.

at 102,936 base plus superannuation
