Assistant Procurement Officer
Role Title : Assistant Procurement Officer
Role Type: Temporary 12-Month opportunity with potential extension or conversion to Ongoing Employment
Grade: Clerk Grade 5/6, Salary Range : $102,936 - $113,579 base plus super and annual leave loading
Location: Sydney CBD (Mckell Building).

Join our specialist Strategic Sourcing team within the Department of Customer Service.
Our team focuses on establishing "all of government" ICT agreements that support NSW government agencies.
We're a high-performing, fun, and flexible team working on strategic, high-profile programs.
This role reports to the Senior Sourcing Manager.
About the Role
As an Assistant Procurement Officer, you will undertake a range of administrative activities to support project procurement and operational activities.
Your primary purpose is to assist team members in managing and delivering sourcing activities to effectively meet business objectives.
This is a 12-month opportunity with the potential for ongoing employment, offering the successful candidate the chance to contribute to a dynamic procurement team while developing their skills and experience in government sourcing and procurement.

Key responsibilities include:
Providing procurement and administrative support services, including managing records using TRIM.
Supporting Request for Proposal/Quote (RFx) processes, including managing clarifications via shared mailboxes and buy NSW Tenders, maintaining trackers, and assisting with tender management in buy NSW Tenders.
Assisting with evaluation activities: coordinating committee meetings, taking minutes,



drafting reports, managing supplier communications, and supporting evaluation clarifications.
Updating and maintaining procurement documentation and records.
Using the e Approvals system to create and track briefing notes and procurement requests.
Responding to enquiries and requests to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Providing project support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans and milestones.
Assisting with the preparation of procurement plans and related reports.
Publishing procurement requests on the buy NSW Tenders portal and responding to queries.

Can adapt existing skills and respond proactively to changing priorities.
