NATEC Australia is seeking a motivated and technically capable
Automation & Service Engineer
to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role where you'll design, develop, test, commission and support automation solutions for world-class food processing equipment, working with customers across Australia and internationally.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Project Management, you will play a key role in delivering automation and control solutions throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and development through to installation, commissioning and ongoing customer support.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and developing industrial control systems for automated food processing machinery
Programming and modifying PLC, HMI, SCADA and motion control systems
Conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Performing commissioning activities at customer sites
Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, control and automation issues
Providing technical support, upgrades and optimisation solutions for existing equipment
Collaborating with customers, project teams, suppliers and service teams to ensure successful project delivery
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:




A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related discipline
Experience designing, programming and commissioning industrial automation and control systems
Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA and motion control platforms
Proven experience conducting FAT, SAT and commissioning activities
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills across industrial machinery and control systems
The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and engineering documentation
A strong understanding of machinery safety, electrical standards and WHS requirements
Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
