About
the
Role
As
a
Controls
Systems
Technician,
you'll
become
the
trusted
technical
advisor
for
a
portfolio
of
customer
sites,
delivering
commissioning,
maintenance,
optimisation
and
technical
support
for
Building
Management
Systems.
You'll
work
directly
with
customers
to
improve
building
performance,
increase
energy
efficiency,
reduce
operational
costs
and
maximise
the
return
on
their
building
assets.
This
is
an
excellent
prospect
for
someone
who
enjoys
combining
hands-on
field
work
with
technical
problem
solving
and
customer
engagement.
Key
Responsibilities
Commission,
service,
maintain
and
troubleshoot
Building
Management
Systems
(BMS)
and
associated
building
automation
technologies.
Identify
and
resolve
complex
controls,
HVAC
and
building
systems
issues
through
advanced
fault
finding
and
system
diagnostics.
Analyse
building
and
plant
performance
using
analytics
and
reporting
tools
to
optimise
operational
efficiency
and
energy
performance.
Support
the
delivery
of
projects
through
testing,
commissioning
and
low-level
engineering
activities.
Build
strong
customer
relationships
by
providing
technical
expertise,
system
reviews
and
improvement
recommendations.
Work
closely
with
project,
engineering
and
sales
teams
to
deliver
successful
customer
outcomes.
Mentor
and
support
developing
technicians
and
apprentices.
Maintain
compliance
with
all
Johnson
Controls
safety,
quality
and
operational
standards.
What
You'll
Bring
Experience
working
with
Building
Management
Systems
(BMS),
Building
Automation
Systems
(BAS),
HVAC
controls,
energy
management
solutions
or
mechanical
services
commissioning.
Trade
qualification
in
Electrical,
Refrigeration,
HVAC,
Mechatronics
or
a
related
technical
discipline.
Current
Electrical
Licence
(Open
or
Restricted)
highly
desirable.
Current
Australian
Driver's
Licence.
Robust
troubleshooting
and
diagnostic
skills
across
building
services
systems.
Ability
to
manage
multiple
priorities
and
work
effectively
in
a
project-driven
environment.
Excellent
communication
skills
and
a
customer-first
approach.
