Our client Hope Connect is seeking an experienced and collaborative Team Leader to lead their newly established Families Together team, supporting high-quality, client-centred service delivery across Western Sydney.
About the Opportunity...
This is an exciting opportunity to provide day-to-day practice and workflow leadership to a new team delivering the Families Together program.
Reporting to the Family Support Program Manager, you'll remain connected to frontline practice while supporting your team to deliver safe, consistent and high-quality services.
The role includes:
Providing day-to-day supervision, coaching and practice guidance to the team
Coordinating intake, referrals, workload allocation and service coverage
Maintaining a small caseload and working directly with children and families
Overseeing practice quality, client records, data and compliance
Identifying and responding to emerging risks and supporting continuous improvement
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working directly with families while empowering others to do their best work.

Part-Time
30 hours per week (4 days)
SCHADS Award Level 5.3 + Mileage reimbursement as per Award
Work across the Penrith/Nepean region, regular travel required

What you'll need to succeed...
This role will suit an experienced family support professional with strong practice knowledge and the confidence to lead, support and develop others.
The successful candidate will bring sound judgement, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to client-centred, strengths-based, culturally safe and child-focused practice.
Selection Criteria...
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work/Social Welfare/Counselling or equivalent discipline
Substantial experience in a community-based family support service
Demonstrated capability in practice leadership, staff supervision, coaching and constructive feedback
Strong case-management knowledge, including assessment, support planning, risk management and child-safe practice
Ability to coordinate intake, referrals, workloads and service coverage across competing priorities
Ability to identify, document and escalate client risk, performance,



wellbeing, incidents and complaints appropriately
Experience maintaining accurate client records and data quality; CDS and Child Story experience highly regarded
Knowledge of quality frameworks, funding requirements, WHS and continuous improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication, report-writing and stakeholder-engagement skills
Strong organisational skills, sound judgement, adaptability and ability to manage competing priorities
Computer literacy
Current driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured car
Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
