Hays Recruitment are currently seeking general labourer for various projects around the Gold Coast region.
Your Current Company
Hays Recruitment is currently working with a range of reputable construction companies delivering major high-rise, commercial and residential projects across the Gold Coast. Due to an increase in project workloads, we are seeking experienced General Labourers for both short and potential long-term assignments.
Your New Role
As a General Labourer, you will play a key role in supporting site operations and ensuring work on projects is completed safely and efficiently.
You will work closely with site supervisors, tradespeople and project teams across a range of active construction sites.
Your duties may include but aren't limited to:
- Site set-up and preparation
- General site clean-up and housekeeping
- Assisting qualified tradespeople with daily tasks
- Manual handling and moving of construction materials
- Loading and unloading deliveries and equipment
- Use of hand and power tools
- Assisting with demolition and strip-out works
- Installing temporary site fencing and signage
- Following site safety procedures and participating in toolbox talks
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Construction White Card (mandatory)
- Minimum 6 months' construction experience in Australia
- Reliable transport or ability to travel to various project locations
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Physically fit with the ability to undertake manual labour
- Experience using hand and power tools desirable
- Additional tickets and licences highly regarded but not mandatory
