We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Compliance and Assurance Lead to join CEHL and build a meaningful career with a stable, respected registered housing provider.

About the role

As Compliance and Assurance Lead, you play a key role in strengthening CEHL’s governance, accountability, and performance. The position is responsible for managing CEHL’s compliance, assurance and complaints management functions, ensuring frameworks are effective, contemporary,



and embedded across the organisation and support a culture of transparency and continuous improvement. Working closely with senior management, the role provides high-quality reporting, advice and assurance to support effective decision-making and organisational accountability.

About you

You will be known for your ability to embed governance and compliance frameworks in complex, multi stakeholder environments. You are able to lead with influence, demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills and your subject matter expertise will have been developed through:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- At least 5 years’ experience in senior compliance and/or audit roles.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of (or ability to quickly attain) relevant regulatory and governance frameworks, including Housing Registrar Performance Standards, Corporations Act, Privacy Act, and sector-specific obligations.
- Comprehension of internal systems of control.
- Experience embedding governance and compliance frameworks in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated experience preparing Board and Committee reports.
- Experience in team leadership, supervision and mentoring others will be highly regarded.




- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and respectful approach.
- Tertiary qualifications in Governance, Law, Business, or related field.
- Postgraduate study and/or certifications in compliance or auditing desirable.
