Are you an experienced manufacturing professional who takes pride in safety, quality, and teamwork?
We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Assistant to join our Gloucester Manufacturing Facility. In this role, you'll work closely with our Production Team Leader to support daily operations, achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a safe and efficient workplace.
About the Role
As a Production Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting production activities across the site, helping to ensure customer orders are manufactured and dispatched on time while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, and equipment reliability.
Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm (Day Shift)
What You'll be Doing:
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture.
- Assist with production schedules, machine setup, and changeovers.
- Support efficient manufacturing operations and minimise downtime.
- Help ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Provide support during overtime or operational peak periods when required.
- Conduct routine quality checks throughout production.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Report equipment faults and support maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the facility.
What you bring to the role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a team committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Current Forklift Licence and Current Drivers Licence
- Basic computer skills and sound numerical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to safely operate production machinery.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance experience - highly regarded
- Experience using ERP or production management systems - highly regarded
