About the Role

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of metal structures and equipment across the station. Working across a broad range of tasks on a high-output irrigated farming property, you will have the opportunity to apply your trade skills to large-scale, meaningful infrastructure work in a dynamic rural setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabricating, assembling, and installing metal structures, wide-diameter steel pipework, components, and equipment to specification

- Applying welding, cutting, and shaping techniques to construct, repair, and maintain metal frameworks, large-scale earthmoving machinery, pipe systems, and irrigation-specific infrastructure

- Inspecting completed work for accuracy and quality, ensuring all components meet industry standards and project requirements

- Maintaining high standards of workmanship to ensure the durability and safety of all fabricated structures

- Collaborating with engineers, site managers, and other tradespeople to coordinate and progress project activities

Selection Criteria

1. Boilermaking, Welding & Fabrication
Demonstrated experience in boilermaking, welding, and metal fabrication, with the ability to produce high-quality work using a range of welding and fabrication techniques.

2. Heavy & Specialised Metalwork
Experience working with large-scale metalwork, including pipework, machinery, or irrigation infrastructure,



and undertaking complex fabrication and repair tasks.

3. Technical Skills & Quality
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, with strong attention to detail to ensure accurate, quality workmanship.

4. Safety & WHS Compliance
Sound understanding of WHS requirements, safe work practices, hazard management, and maintaining a safe work environment.

5. Communication & Teamwork
Ability to work independently and within a team, communicate effectively, follow direction, and maintain a strong work ethic.

6. Qualifications & Licences
Current Boilermaking/Welding trade qualification, valid manual C Class driver's licence, and the right to work in Australia. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
