Your new role:
As a Principal House Officer, Registrar or Senior Registrar, you'll provide high-quality clinical care within the Department of General Medicine under the guidance of experienced consultant medical staff, with opportunities to broaden your clinical expertise and support the development of junior colleagues.
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive care to patients admitted under General Medicine, including assessment, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and discharge planning.
- Assessing referrals from the Emergency Department and other inpatient units and escalating patients appropriately to senior medical staff.
- Working collaboratively with nursing, allied health and other medical professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and providing timely clinical handover and communication with healthcare providers.
- Supporting junior medical staff and students through guidance, supervision and teaching.
- Participating in outpatient clinical duties, team meetings, case conferences and relevant weekend or after-hours duties.
- Actively contributing to quality, safety and continuous professional development.
About you:
We're looking for a motivated medical professional who is committed to delivering excellent patient care and who brings strong clinical capability, communication skills and a cooperative approach, with:
- A relevant medical degree and registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills with a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine patient and family focus.
- Strong time management, prioritisation and self-management skills.
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute positively to team culture.
- A commitment to quality, safety, integrity and respectful patient care.

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
