We are excited to be opening a new, modern dental clinic in Box Hill and are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic receptionist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and would like to be part of establishing a welcoming, professional clinic from the beginning.
About the role
As our Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
As our clinic will be opening in October, you will receive training at our Northcote branch (Paladin Dental, 365 High Street, Northcote) so you are ready to go on opening day. Please be aware that you will have to commute to both clinics.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and providing professional, friendly service
- Managing patient appointments, bookings and recalls
- Answering telephone and email enquiries
- Processing payments and HICAPS/EFTPOS transactions
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality
- Liaising with doctors,
nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Managing referrals, correspondence and other administrative tasks
- Ordering clinical stock
- Supporting the team to maintain a high standard of patient care
About you:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a dental reception or administration role (ESSENTIAL!!)
- Dental Assistant experience (essential)
- Strong written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A professional and friendly manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Confidence using medical practice management and computer systems
- Ability to speak Mandarin will be highly regarded
