About the role
BFT Albion is looking for two outstanding people to join our team in separate full-time leadership positions. These are two separate roles: Head Coach – primarily responsible for coaching, coaching standards and leading the coaching team. Studio Manager – primarily responsible for sales, membership growth and the commercial performance of the studio, while also coaching approximately 10–15 hours per week.
Head Coach
The Head Coach is responsible for leading our coaching team and ensuring every member receives an exceptional training experience. Approximately 20 hours per week will be dedicated to coaching, including a mix of early mornings, evenings and weekends. The remaining hours will focus on leadership, member experience, coaching standards and studio operations.
Studio Manager
The Studio Manager is a sales-driven leadership role responsible for growing the membership base, converting leads, retaining members and driving the overall commercial performance of BFT Albion. The Studio Manager will also be an active part of the coaching team, coaching approximately 10–15 hours per week minimum.
Key responsibilities
Head Coach
- Deliver high-quality, high-energy group strength & conditioning sessions
- Lead, mentor and support the coaching team
- Maintain consistently high coaching standards across the studio
- Own the member experience from onboarding through to ongoing development
- Ensure new members receive an exceptional introduction to BFT
- Build strong relationships with members and contribute to retention
- Create a positive, inclusive and high-performance studio culture
- Maintain high standards of gym presentation, cleanliness and organisation
- Ensure equipment is safe, serviceable and maintained
- Work with the Studio Manager to support lead conversion, membership growth and retention
Studio Manager
- Own the studio's sales performance and membership growth
- Manage the entire lead journey from enquiry through to membership
- Follow up leads consistently via phone, SMS, email and other channels
- Conduct consultations and studio tours
- Convert trials and prospects into long-term members
- Develop and implement strategies to improve conversion rates
- Coach approximately 10–15 hours per week minimum
- Deliver high-quality, energetic group strength & conditioning sessions
- Manage the day-to-day non-coaching operations of the studio
- Monitor studio KPIs and take ownership of areas requiring improvement
About you
Head Coach
- An experienced strength & conditioning coach with strong group fitness experience
- Confident coaching a wide range of members and abilities
- A natural leader who can develop and motivate other coaches
- Someone who genuinely cares about member results and experience
- High personal standards and attention to detail
- Organised, reliable and proactive
- Energetic, positive and professional
- Cert IV in Fitness or equivalent
- Current First Aid and Current CPR
Studio Manager
- Proven sales ability and a strong commercial mindset
- Someone who genuinely enjoys selling and winning new business
- Strong fitness coaching and group training experience
- Confident coaching a wide range of members
- Highly organised and accountable
- Strong people and relationship-building skills
- Proactive and able to take ownership without needing to be constantly directed
- Cert IV in Fitness or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR
