The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Administration Officer to join the wonderful team at Monteath & Powys in their Newcastle CBD office.
Working within an established administration team, you’ll provide day-to-day support across the business, ensuring requests are managed efficiently and professionally.
A key focus will be managing a shared administration inbox, coordinating varied requests including general administration, travel bookings, document formatting, template creation, payroll support and HR administration.
You’ll also have the opportunity to champion AI adoption and process improvement, identifying repetitive or manual tasks that could be streamlined through standardisation, automation or AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate requests through a shared administration inbox.
- Provide responsive administrative support across the business.
- Format documents, reports, presentations and templates.
- Assist with payroll and HR administration.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and internal systems.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and improve administrative processes.
- Support the adoption of AI and technology to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the broader administration team to deliver consistent support.
About You
You’ll be an organised and adaptable administrator who enjoys variety, teamwork and finding better ways of doing things.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Previous administration, business support or similar experience.
- Excellent written communication and document formatting skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning recent technology.
- Strong attention to detail and a qualified approach.
- A collaborative and service-focused attitude.
- An interest in AI, automation and smarter ways of working
- Confidence to suggest and implement practical improvements.
- Comfortable working in office, Monday-Friday.
