About the role
We are seeking a Cleaner (including pest control) to join our team in Morwell, VIC 3840. This is a ongoing casual position with the possibility of converting to fulltime position based on performance. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our client site whilst also assisting with pest control tasks. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and is keen to develop their skills in both cleaning and pest management within a supportive team setting.
What you'll be doing
- Performing general cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and sanitising across a Power Station site
- Operating cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or pest concerns to management
- Assisting with pest control tasks including preparation, application of treatments and follow-up inspections under supervision
- Maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with client specifications and company protocols
- Managing waste disposal and ensuring work areas are left tidy and organised
- Communicating professionally with clients and responding to their requests courteously
- Maintaining accurate records of cleaning schedules and pest control activities
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and wearing appropriate protective equipment
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in cleaning services or a demonstrated commitment to developing cleaning skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift moderately heavy items
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Willingness to learn pest control techniques and protocols under supervision
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly on a casual basis
- Valuable communication skills and a professional manner when interacting with clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport
