We are seeking an experienced Senior Treasury Accountant to lead treasury operations and provide strategic financial expertise across cash management, investments, funding and debt management. This is an exciting opportunity for a treasury professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with strategic financial planning to deliver long-term value.
About the Role
As the Senior Treasury Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing treasury activities that support the organisation's financial strength and future growth. You will manage cash flow, investments and borrowings while providing expert advice to support budgeting, major projects and long-term financial planning initiatives.
Working within the Financial Services team, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders, banking partners and auditors to ensure treasury practices remain effective, compliant and aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead treasury operations, including cash, liquidity, investments and borrowings.
- Develop and maintain short and long-term cash flow forecasts and funding strategies.
- Manage investment portfolios to achieve strong financial outcomes within approved risk parameters.
- Monitor debt facilities and funding requirements to support sustainable financial management.
- Provide specialist advice on treasury and financing matters for budgets, forecasts and capital projects.
- Analyse market conditions, interest rate movements and economic trends to support informed decision-making.
- Identify and manage treasury-related risks while maintaining strong governance and controls.
- Build productive relationships with financial institutions, advisors, auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Drive improvements to treasury systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
- Prepare financial analysis, reports and recommendations for senior leadership and governance committees.
About You
You are a highly analytical finance professional with significant experience in treasury, financial management or senior accounting roles.
You are confident managing complex financial activities and can translate technical information into practical business advice.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Proven experience in treasury management, cash flow forecasting and investment management.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, debt management and funding strategies.
- Advanced analytical, financial modelling and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
- The ability to influence decision-making through sound financial insight
