Our head office and main depot is located at Berrimah in Darwin, with other depots in Humpty Doo, Jabiru, and Alice Springs, all serving extensive urban, school bus operations and charter service under the banner of CDC Northern Territory.
We operate a fleet of over 240 vehicles, transporting more than 3.2 million passengers annually, and employ over 350 people in various roles, including driver, fleet maintenance, operations, and corporate positions.
About the Role
We’re looking for a confident and people-focused People & Culture Business Partner to support our teams across the Northern Territory.
Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture (Regional Australia Division), this role partners closely with leaders across multiple sites to deliver practical HR support, drive engagement, and help shape a positive employee experience.
You’ll be based at our Berrimah office and will have the opportunity to influence both day‑to‑day operations and broader people initiatives that support our growing business.
This role works in conjunction to two other P&C; Business partners in other states, and has access to additional support from the wider P&C; team including recruitment and L&D.;
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll partner with leaders to understand their people needs and provide practical, solution-focused HR advice
- You’ll support and coach managers to build capability and strengthen team performance
- Delivering key HR initiatives that support engagement, development, and workforce planning
- Coordinating talent and succession activities and supporting leaders with development pathways
- Translating business needs into HR actions and contributing to the broader P&C; strategy
- Using HR data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Helping embed a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused culture across multiple NT locations
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR or business partnering role
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to link people priorities with business outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proven track record delivering HR initiatives that make a real impact
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field
