I'm recruiting on behalf of a Perth-based transport and logistics company for a Contract Snowflake Data Platform Lead to provide short-term technical ownership of their enterprise data platform.
This is a hands-on senior contract covering leave for the Data & Analytics Lead — ideal for an experienced Snowflake engineer who can hit the ground running, keep a live platform stable, and hand back a clean, well-documented environment.

- Maintaining the existing RAW → SILVER → GOLD architecture and established development standards
- Supporting and troubleshooting Snowflake, dbt and Azure Data Factory pipelines
- Maintaining incremental/watermark-based ingestion and historical backfill processes
- Continuing onboarding of additional Ignition operational data using existing ingestion patterns
- Developing and maintaining dbt models, tests and business-serving GOLD datasets
- Supporting revenue, cost, operational and Power BI reporting datasets
- Investigating production issues including missing data, failed pipelines, dbt failures, performance problems, permissions and reconciliation differences
- Working with Data & Analytics, IT, Power BI, AI Engineering and business stakeholders as required
What We're Looking For
- Strong technical experience with Snowflake in production environments
- Advanced SQL and dbt experience
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps and Git
- Data modelling experience, including RAW / SILVER / GOLD architectures
- Experience with Snowflake RBAC and security
- Experience with Power BI or similar enterprise BI platforms
- Python experience is advantageous
What's On Offer
- Short-term contract – 4 weeks
- The chance to take independent technical ownership of a live enterprise data platform
- Exposure to a modern data stack spanning Snowflake, dbt, Azure Data Factory and Power BI
If you're a Snowflake Data Platform Lead or Senior Snowflake Engineer who can independently diagnose issues across source → ADF → Snowflake → dbt → Power BI and provide a clean handover, I'd love to hear from you.
