About the role

This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes initiative, and thrives in a hands-on finance role. You'll manage the full accounting function, ensure compliance with reporting obligations, and provide accurate financial insights to support decision making.

Key responsibilities

- Manage end to end accounting and bookkeeping functions

- Maintain general ledgers, journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations

- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment processing

- Complete month end, quarter end, and year end processes

- Prepare financial reports, cash flow statements, budgets, and forecasts for monthly Finance meetings

- Maintain the asset register and manage asset reporting

- Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, superannuation, and other statutory returns

- Coordinate annual audit requirements and liaise with external auditors

- Maintain internal filing systems, databases, and digital archives

- Provide general administrative support as required

About you

- 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, finance administration, or a similar role





- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred)

- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and cloud-based accounting software

- High numerical accuracy and excellent time management skills

- Clear written and verbal communication

- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and problem solving ability

- Comfortable working both independently and within a small team

Queanbeyan Golf Club is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Finance Manager to oversee the Club's day to day financial operations and statutory reporting. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the Club while supporting a small, friendly team.
