MGN Civil is seeking to build a team of wicking general hands to assist with our land reclamation work at the Port of Brisbane for a 4 to 6-month period.

Roster
The roster is rotating shift work 12 hour days (inclusive of breaks) across 6 day shifts, 3 rest days off, 6 night shifts.
The roster alternates between day and night shift, with the successful candidate required to work both shift patterns.
Flat rate of $44.10 labouring plus a $14.00 wicking allowance per hour, plus superannuation for the wicking roster.
The Role
- Work closely within a team of 3 people responsible for the insertion of wicking fabric into the ground via a purpose-built rig.
- You will be required to complete physical groundwork in sandy conditions to assist with preparation (geofabrics & survey flags), and pipeline placement to enable completion of land reclamation works.
- Additional ability to operation civil plant would be advantageous.
- Good radio communication skills to ensure protected and productive work.
- Adherence to safety requirements onsite.
- Strong work ethic and team first attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
Additionally, the successful candidate will need a current Driver Licence, and hold a construction industry white card prior to starting employment.
