About the role
Efficiently & effectively identify, tag & clean all engine components & parts using a range of industrial cleaning machines as well as manual cleaning.
Heavy lifting is involved. Forklift licence essential.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of engines and their components and an understanding of componentry relationships and their purpose within the broader engine system.
- Communication: Ability to speak with and listen to others in order to effectively convey and share information.
- Literacy: Capacity to read and comprehend written instructions and flowcharts.
- Information Ordering:
Ability to arrange actions or tasks in an appropriate order or pattern according to a pre-determined outcome.
- Equipment Selection: Understand equipment functionality and specialised tools in order to determine the appropriate selection to complete a job/task.
- Equipment Monitoring: Ability to watch gauges, dials or other indicators to ensure a machine is operating correctly.
- Equipment Maintenance: Understand maintenance requirements and perform routine maintenance on equipment/tools as required.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to determine causes of operating errors and implement appropriate resolution strategies.
- Time Management: Ability to manage allocated (and sometimes competing) tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Acute Vision: Ability to see small details at close range.
- Control Precision: Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine and/or tool to exact positions.
- Selective Attention: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
- Manual Dexterity & Strength: The physical ability to grasp, manipulate, move and lift objects.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Current C Class Drivers licence, and Forklift Licence.
