Looking for a maintenance role where you can do more than just fix breakdowns?

We're currently seeking an experienced Qualified Maintenance Fitter to join a growing FMCG manufacturing business based in Campbelltown.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys fault-finding, solving mechanical problems and working with a range of automated production and packaging equipment.

? About the Role

Working as part of the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Performing preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
- Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime
- Troubleshooting automated machinery and production equipment
- Assisting with equipment changeovers, set-ups and optimisation
- Supporting equipment installation and commissioning
- Identifying recurring faults and implementing preventative solutions
- Completing maintenance records and service documentation
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with production teams to ensure equipment reliability
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and GMP

? What We're Looking For





We're looking for someone who is mechanically strong, practical and enjoys getting to the bottom of a problem.

To be successful, you'll have:

- Trade qualification as a Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or similar
- Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, FMCG or production
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with automated machinery
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
- Strong safety awareness
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving

⭐ Highly regarded:

- Food manufacturing or processing experience
- Packaging machinery experience
- Basic electrical fault-finding
- PLC troubleshooting
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Experience using a CMMS or maintenance management system

- $58 per hour, including 25% casual loading
- Monday to Thursday - 4-day working week
