As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the venue during your shifts, supporting staff, maintaining excellent customer service, and ensuring all operational and compliance requirements are met.
Key responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting staff during shifts
- Opening and/or closing the venue as required
- Ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained
- Managing day-to-day venue operations
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Supporting staff with day-to-day tasks and decision-making
- Ensuring responsible service and venue compliance requirements are followed
- Completing relevant cash-handling and operational duties
- Creating a positive and professional environment for both staff and customers
About you
- Has previous experience in a supervisory,
leadership or duty management role
- Is confident taking responsibility and making decisions
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Can remain calm and professional in a busy workplace
- Is reliable, punctual and well-presented
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Is flexible with availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required
- Current Responsible Person (RP) accreditation
- Previous hospitality, gaming, club or venue experience is highly regarded
- Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) accreditation — desirable but not mandatory
