Christmas Tree Hire is looking for 2–3 casual “elves” to join their installation crew and help transform local businesses and venues with beautiful Christmas trees and displays.
This is a fun, hands on seasonal role perfect for someone who enjoys being on the move, working as part of a team and takes pride in making things look excellent.
What you'll be doing
Starting from the Barnsley warehouse, you'll head out with the team to different client sites to:
- Deliver and install Christmas trees and displays
- Unpack and carefully install decorations, baubles and lighting
- Decorate trees to the required style and standard
- Make sure every display looks just right
- Keep client sites clean and tidy
- Carefully handle decorations and equipment
- After Christmas, return to sites to dismantle displays, pack decorations and return everything to the warehouse
When?
�� Late October – early December: Installation season
�� Break over Christmas
�� Late December – mid-January: Dismantle and pack down
Ideally, we're looking for people available 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, however we will consider reliable candidates available 3 days per week.
Days can start from around 6:00am, with longer shifts common during the busy installation period. There is currently no weekend work expected.
We're looking for people who:
- Have a current driver's licence
- Are reliable and available throughout the festive season
- Have a great eye for detail
- Are physically fit and comfortable working on their feet for long periods
- Can handle a busy, fast paced environment
- Are hands on and willing to get stuck in
- Work well as part of a team
- Can take direction and learn how to decorate to client standards
- Are mindful and professional when working within office, retail and hospitality venues
- And ideally… LOVE CHRISTMAS! ��
Experience in retail, visual merchandising, events, displays, decorating, warehousing or other hands on work would be highly regarded, but isn't essential for someone with the right attitude.
