About the Role
The Workplace Relations Coordinator supports workplace relations, industrial relations, and payroll compliance activities across the organisation. Working closely with the Workplace Relations Project Specialist, the role assists with wage compliance reviews, payroll remediation, enterprise agreement implementation, workplace investigations, and employee relations matters.
The position coordinates workplace relations projects, maintains compliance records, prepares documentation, conducts research, and supports the resolution of employee and industrial relations enquiries. The role helps ensure compliance with workplace legislation, enterprise agreements, modern awards, and organisational policies while contributing to continuous improvement across people and payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate workplace relations activities, including stakeholder engagement, meetings, documentation, enterprise agreement implementation, and project administration.
- Support payroll compliance reviews and remediation programs by gathering, validating, and analysing payroll, roster, timesheet, and employment data.
- Maintain compliance records, audit evidence, and documentation to support wage audits, remediation activities, and regulatory obligations.
- Assist with governance and assurance activities, including policy reviews, compliance monitoring, audit reporting,
and action tracking.
- Coordinate contractor and employment compliance processes, including right-to-work checks, compliance monitoring, and record management.
- Support workplace relations projects through reporting, stakeholder communication, risk and issue tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
In addition to a further qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Business, Law or a related discipline, you bring sound judgement, clear communication and a practical approach to workplace relations. You are comfortable working with sensitive information and building trusted relationships across complex organisations.
Ideally you will also have:
- Experience in HR, legal services, administration, project coordination or a related environment
- Experience supporting workplace relations, payroll compliance or governance activities.
- Exposure to Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and enterprise agreements.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity, sound judgement and willingness to learn
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
