Our client is an international investment manager with an established Sydney real estate funds business. They are looking for a Fund Finance and Operations Manager on a 12-month contract to provide continuity during a period of parental leave.

The chance
You will sit at the centre of the governance, financial control and operational environment for a portfolio of real estate funds and corporate entities. The role reports to the Head of Funds, has no direct reports, and works closely with Fund Financial Controllers, Analysts, Risk, Compliance, Legal and a panel of external providers. Influence here comes from coordination and judgement, so it suits someone who enjoys being the person things route through.

What you will be doing

- Coordinate fund and SPV governance, including board and committee administration, governance records, action registers and the company secretary mailbox
- Oversee key service providers across corporate secretarial, corporate management, audit, valuation and banking, monitoring delivery, approving invoices and escalating issues
- Manage Valuation Committee and Fund Financial Review Committee processes, from scope and timetables through to papers, approvals and actions
- Oversee assigned fund financial governance deliverables prepared by the Fund Financial Controllers, including budgets, NAV reporting, memos and audit rotations
- Coordinate operational due diligence,



GS007-related activities, third-party controls and assigned regulatory and compliance obligations
- Act as the key operational contact for NAB Connect, Yardi and Anaplan, covering access controls, approval authorities and process improvement, including driving wider adoption of Anaplan locally

What you will bring
Approximately seven or more years of relevant experience across real estate, funds management, finance, fund operations or governance. You will need a strong understanding of fund structures, SPV governance, financial reporting and operational control environments, plus a track record of coordinating boards or committees, managing external providers, and delivering multiple workstreams to fixed deadlines.
