About the role
As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students develop their understanding of the world, build critical thinking skills and achieve their learning goals.
This is a Senior Years VCE Humanities role with the willingness and capability to teach across all year levels and all Humanities subjects.

Reports to: Head of Senior School
Time Fraction: 1.0
Tenure: Ongoing

What you’ll do
- Deliver engaging Humanities programs across Years 7–12.
- Create inclusive learning environments that support student growth and achievement.
- Provide pastoral care and build positive relationships with students and families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider life of the College through co-curricular activities and College events.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant teaching qualifications and current VIT registration.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Humanities at secondary level, including at VCE level.
- Capability and willingness to teach across all year levels and all Humanities subjects.
- Robust classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to student wellbeing, professional growth and the College Values.
