The role:
Become a member of the Integrated Logistics Support team within Rohde & Schwarz's Capability Delivery & Sustainment (CD&S;) engineering department. You will be involved in the delivery of high quality, high reliability integrated communications system solutions within a Systems Engineering framework, applying your ILS expertise to shape support outcomes across complex defence projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Be member of a team delivering logistic support system solutions and deliverables across assigned projects, collaborating closely with Systems Engineering.
- Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of support system products and activities: through compliance with approved procedures, adherence to budget, and the application of first-time quality standards that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Proactively identify risks and issues in the logistics support domain, driving contributing to the development of mitigation strategies through to resolution.
- Act as a member of the Support System design, sustainment planning, and through-life support planning team.
- Contribute to tender and bid support activities, shaping winning technical solutions.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to peers and junior team members across ILS disciplines.
What you'll bring:
- Significant experience (5+ years) in Integrated Logistics Support engineering, ideally within defence or complex systems environments.
- Strong working knowledge of ILS disciplines: LSA, LSAR, reliability/maintainability analysis, provisioning, technical publications, training needs analysis, or support system design.
- Demonstrated experience operating within a Systems Engineering framework on large-scale projects.
- Proven ability to deliver outcomes with minimal oversight.
- Developed stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with Project Team members, and the engineering leadership group.
- Experience with Australian Defence Force projects or familiarity with defence sustainment frameworks (e.g., ASDEFCON, DEF(AUST)) is highly regarded.
- Existing Australian Security Clearance (or eligibility and willingness to obtain one).
