Are you passionate about healthy ageing and have experience in health promotion or engagement?

iLA is a for-purpose organisation dedicated to empowering people and communities to live and age well. Through programs such as LiveUp and Keep Able, we connect older people with accessible healthy ageing resources and support the aged care sector to embed wellness and reablement approaches that help people stay independent, engaged and doing the things that matter most to them.

We’re looking for a Melbourne-based engagement professional to build strong relationships with health professionals, service providers, and community partners – helping bring healthy ageing to life and increasing reach and impact across the country.

The programs

LiveUp is an innovative healthy ageing guide designed to help older Australians stay well by providing them with trusted information, resources and advice on health and wellbeing, assistive technology, and community connections.

LiveUp is promoted nationally through a mix of digital and traditional channels. However, we know people are more likely to engage with resources recommended by trusted professionals like their GP, allied health skilled, or service organisation. This is where you come in!

Keep Able is the place to find practical content and resources about wellness and reablement for home care providers, people working in the aged care sector, clients and communities across Australia. Your engagement work will help build sector capability and promote approaches that support older people to remain independent and engaged in their daily routines.

The role

You’ll join a national team of engagement professionals working with the National Engagement Lead to grow awareness, reach, and uptake of iLA’s digital initiatives,

while also building capability in healthy ageing and reablement across Australia’s health and community sectors.

This role focuses on building strong stakeholder and community connections. Identifying opportunities and driving collaboration will be central to your success.

This is a primarily remote role, supported by Microsoft Teams, with additional responsibilities including:

- Representing iLA at events and forums
- Delivering presentations and workshops (online and in person)
- Collaborating with other organisations to promote and embed healthy ageing initiatives
- Identifying opportunities for partnerships with key organisations and stakeholders
- Working with the team to identify strategies to increase uptake of iLA’s digital initiatives
- Managing accurate records in the CRM system

The candidate

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

- A genuine passion for health initiatives that support people to live and age well
- Qualifications and/or experience in health promotion, community development, social work or a related field
- Proven experience in community and stakeholder engagement
- Strong networking, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Experience delivering or participating in conferences and events
- Well-developed digital skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems

This role requires you to be comfortable working remotely, self-motivated, and accountable. You’ll also need to be flexible and willing to travel, including regular travel within your home state and occasional interstate travel.

What we offer

- Meaningful and rewarding work within a values-driven organisation
- Ongoing support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
