Stonemason / Stone Worker — North Brisbane

$35–$50 per hour | Full time | RDO every second Friday

Made of Stone is growing, and we're looking for experienced stonemasons to join our team in Brendale.

Factory or install — you choose

We run both an in-house fabrication team and an in-house installation team. Tell us which one you prefer.

- Factory — cutting, shaping, polishing and finishing in our purpose-built Brendale facility. Same start and finish every day.

- Install — site-based work across Brisbane, working in pairs, company vehicle supplied. Out of the factory, different job every day.

Both are the same rate and the same conditions. If you're not sure, come and see both before you decide.

- 6am to 3pm, Monday to Friday

The work

You'll be working with natural stone, porcelain and zero-silica engineered stone, fully compliant with Queensland regulations.

Jobs range from standard residential benchtops through to large-scale natural stone installations, bespoke pieces for hotels, RSLs and leagues clubs, and custom marble finishes for high-end commercial work.



The complex jobs are the engaging ones and there are plenty of them.

Day to day you'll:

- Cut, shape and polish stone to a premium finish, or install it to the same standard on site

- Glue, laminate and shape stone to create joins and edges

- Read technical drawings and work to them exactly — millimetres matter on every job

- Run large, complex jobs on your own without supervision

- Work to our safety standards without exception

What you'll bring

This role is for experienced stonemasons and stone workers. You'll need:

- Proven experience running large, complex natural stone jobs

- The ability to read a plan accurately and raise it when something doesn't add up

- Reliability — we're a small team and everyone carries their share

- Physical capability for hands-on factory work

- A commitment to safety

- A current driver's licence if you're going for the install team

If you've come from cabinet making or joinery and want the install side, we'll consider you — that trade transfers well to installation and we'll train you on the stone.
