We are seeking a motivated Scheduling Officer who is passionate about making a difference in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community, to join our multidisciplinary team and support the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe aged care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community.

About the position:
Reporting to the Manager Aged Care, the Scheduling Officer will work closely with clients, families, employees and management to coordinate day-to-day service delivery. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare, maintain and update accurate aged care rosters to meet client needs, preferences, care plans and funding arrangements.
- Coordinate shift requests and roster changes, including employee availability, leave, illness, additional shifts and scheduling conflicts.
- Fill vacant shifts promptly and strategically allocate Home Care Workers based on client location, service requirements,
employee capabilities and workload.
- Liaise professionally with clients, families, employees and management, respond to enquiries and accurately document relevant conversations and scheduling information.
- Coordinate client travel and transport requirements, including appropriate travel time, vehicle suitability, mobility needs and out-of-town appointments.
- Monitor shift allocations, funding availability and funding codes, and ensure new or amended services align with care plans and available funding.
- Support broader Aged Care operations through on-call participation, reporting, inbox monitoring, training rosters and purchase order administration, while ensuring compliance with applicable up-to-date awards, policies and Aged Care Standards.
About you:
To be successful in this position, we are seeking an individual with the following:
- Previous rostering or scheduling experience, preferably within aged care, health or community services.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing circumstances.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a professional and courteous telephone manner.
- The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, together with an understanding of relevant health issues.
- A reliable and professional approach, with the ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively as part of a team
Pre-employment checks, including a National Criminal History Check and reference checks, will be required.
