Old Mate's Group is looking for cocktail bar staff to join a team of professionals that strive to provide quality service. The role is based at Old Mate's Place, a 2 level bar with a rooftop located on Clarence Street in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Old Mate's Place is a winner of the 2025 Bar of the year by Australian Bartender Magazine. Part of the family is Old Love's, a winner of rum bar of the year 2025 for Bartender magazine. The venues are multi-faceted high-volume cocktail bars focused on guest experience. We have a solid inhouse training program in place for the right candidate to develop the skills they have already achieved in their professional bartending career.
Key responsibilities
- Provide world class customer experience
- Make guests feel welcome, special and want to come back
- Contribute to cocktail development
- Deliver quality service in a high-volume environment
About you
- 2 years' experience in a high pace cocktail bar
- Motivated and ambitious in the way you work
- Positive attitude towards team and workplace
- Genuine love for hospitality
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification required at the start of employment
- Australian work rights required for this position
- Able to commit for longer than 6 months
