Job description:
Join the team shaping the future of Australia's game. The opportunity As Competition Coordinator, you will help bring community football to life across Central West and Northern New South Wales by providing effective and efficient administration for leagues and competitions. Please note that this is a Maximum Term role covering a period of Parental Leave for 12 months. Working as part of a collaborative regional hub, you will support the delivery of well-run competitions and positive football experiences for clubs, participants and communities. The role may be based in Sydney, Coffs Harbour or Central West. What you'll own You will coordinate the administration and day-to-day delivery that keeps community football competitions running smoothly across the region. You'll add value through:
- Providing effective administrative support for leagues and competitions across the designated region
- Managing competitions and maintaining accurate information within PlayHQ
- Coordinating fixtures and supporting their smooth implementation throughout the season
- Preparing and distributing league match-day paperwork
- Managing scores, results and league ladders through PlayHQ
- Keeping league websites and social media channels accurate, current and engaging
- Coordinating league events, including presentation nights, season launches and other functions
- Providing regional support and specialist assistance to leagues through the collaborative hub environment
- Supporting club development and umpiring within the AFL Central West competition
- Contributing to projects that support the continued growth and improvement of community football
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the overall success of the regional team

- Demonstrated experience delivering efficient and effective administration
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with care and accuracy
- The ability to work effectively and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence using databases and digital systems to maintain accurate competition information
- A collaborative approach to supporting colleagues, leagues, clubs and community stakeholders
- Initiative and sound judgement when responding to operational needs
- A commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality experiences for community football participants
- Energy and passion for contributing to the growth and success of football in local communities
