About the opportunity:

We are seeking for an experienced Underwriter to join a dynamic insurance team. In this role, you will provide underwriting services to the broker market, build and maintain strong broker relationships, assess and price risks within delegated authority, and support the growth of the business through exceptional customer service and market engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, identifying opportunities for new business and delivering outstanding client service.
- Attend broker meetings, client visits, presentations, and market-facing activities to promote the company brand and underwriting capabilities.
- Review, assess, and issue terms for new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Evaluate risks, determine appropriate acceptance criteria and pricing, and refer matters outside delegated authority when required.
- Support operational excellence by assisting with staff training, process improvement initiatives, and ensuring customer satisfaction across all interactions.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in insurance underwriting or a related insurance role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with brokers, clients, service providers, and internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications,



particularly Excel, with relevant qualifications meeting PS146 requirements.
