About This Employer - The service, clinic is the main health care service provider catering for the community of Coober Pedy, services and programs include, primary health care, dental, health and wellbeing, mental health, AOD, allied health, women, children, youth and aged care. Our team is a vibrant, multi-disciplinary team who have come from across Australia, with a mix of experiences and specialties.
Position Specifics: Reporting to the Clinical Care Coordinator, this instrumental RN role is part of our multidisciplinary health care team. The role involves providing quality care to 10 Indigenous residents requiring low to moderate care in our 24 hour residential facility,
as well as 23 Indigenous residents living independently in the community. Our team size is 4 RN’s, 1 EN, plus female and male personal care/support workers.
Due to our remote location, you are flexible, diverse, adaptable and culturally aware.
Essential Skill Set:
- AHPRA registration, RN
- Experience with aged care in remote communities
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to work with Indigenous communities
- Computer literacy with ability to use electronic patient databases
