About the Company
Our client is a growing surveying practice seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of cadastral and construction surveying projects, from boundary identification and re-establishment through to subdivision and strata work.
About the role
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a range of cadastral and construction surveying projects across Sydney. This position will suit an experienced Land Surveyor who is confident working autonomously in the field, managing projects from initial site investigations through to final plans and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and undertake cadastral surveys, including boundary identification, re-establishment, Torrens Title and Strata subdivisions.
- Conduct construction and land surveys, including building set-outs, detail and contour surveys, and work-as-executed surveys.
- Operate Leica robotic total stations, GNSS/GPS and surveying software to accurately capture and process field data.
- Prepare and review survey plans, deposited plans and subdivision documentation,
ensuring accuracy and compliance with NSW requirements.
- Liaise with builders, developers, engineers, architects, councils and NSW Land Registry Services throughout projects.
Preferred Requirements
- Proven cadastral and land surveying experience, with demonstrated ability to work independently on projects
- Hands-on experience with construction surveying, building set-outs, detail and contour surveys, and work-as-executed surveys
- Proficiency with Leica robotic total stations, GNSS/GPS equipment, and surveying software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D
- Robust knowledge of boundary surveys, subdivisions, Torrens Title work, and strata surveying with Deposited Plans
- Ability to liaise effectively with councils, land registry authorities, and project stakeholders, and to read architectural, engineering, and subdivision plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying or a related discipline
- Current professional registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant surveying board
- Familiarity with NSW Land Registry Services and cadastral data systems
