About the role..
This part‑time, permanent position (15 hours per week) based at Fremantle offers the chance to deliver specialised, activity‑based therapy to clients living with spinal cord injury and neurological conditions.
We’re looking for a motivated and passionate clinician who thrives in a purpose‑driven environment and genuinely values making a meaningful impact. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. There is the possibility of additional 15hrs at the Joondalup clinic for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Structured induction — Comprehensive onboarding across Melbourne clinics with supportive training.
- Physio mentoring — Work closely with a senior physiotherapist while gradually building your own caseload.
- Neurological caseload — Exposure to clients with SCI, TBI, Stroke, MS, Parkinson’s and similar rehabilitation needs.
- Balanced workload — Caseload tailored to your learning goals and clinical interests.
- Varied service delivery — Provide physiotherapy in clinic gyms, home visits, community settings, telehealth and hydrotherapy.
- Goal‑based practice — Use outcome measures and evidence‑based practice to guide interventions.
- Person‑centred advocacy — Support clients and liaise with NDIS, TAC and equipment suppliers.
- Professional development — Access senior supervision, mentoring, internal training, webinars and externally funded PD.
- Project opportunities — Engage in project work and develop non‑clinical skills within the physio and multidisciplinary teams.
About you…
You are a passionate Physiotherapist who is committed to delivering exceptional participant outcomes through evidence-based neurological rehabilitation. You enjoy working collaboratively, thrive in a dynamic environment and are motivated by supporting people to achieve meaningful, life-enhancing goals.
You are confident managing complex clinical presentations, enjoy mentoring others and actively contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
To succeed, you will bring:
- Experience in working as part of an allied health team, ideally in a rehabilitation or community-based setting.
- Ability to be involved in work of a physical nature
- Passionate about working with neurological populations
- Willing to learn and expand their knowledge as a neuro rehab skilled.
- Happy to work independently as part of a small team
- A commitment to person-centred, inclusive practice that ensures every participant feels respected,
heard and supported.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with participants, families and key stakeholders.
- A collaborative, values-driven approach aligned with Royal Rehab's purpose and values.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
- Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
- Regular access to a private vehicle.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- National Police Check.
- Experience working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) environment is desirable.
