About the role

We’re looking for an experienced PEP VET Pathways & Implementation Manager to play a senior implementation role within the Powering Educator Pipelines (PEP) program.

PEP is an innovative workforce initiative designed to support industry experts to transition into sustainable careers as vocational education and training (VET) educators. The program aims to help address critical workforce shortages in the energy sector and build the educator capability required to support Australia’s transition to a net zero future.

You will translate the PEP model into a coherent, practical and high-quality educator pathway spanning participant readiness, training, transition, mentoring, supported practice and progression. You will guide a team or act as the VET practitioner to ensure the program remains aligned with project objectives and industry needs.

This role offers an opportunity to help address workforce challenges in the energy sector and support Australia’s transition to net zero. Working collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders, you will contribute to strengthening the organisation’s position as a thought leader in energy skills and training.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- Significant experience in the Australian vocational education and training sector, with robust knowledge of RTO operations, VET delivery environments and vocational educator pathways.
- Experience designing, implementing or managing education, training, workforce development or transition pathways involving multiple delivery partners.
- A strong understanding of the challenges involved in supporting industry professionals to transition into educator roles, including participant readiness, mentoring, supported practice, employer expectations and provider capability.
- Experience managing a team or operating as a subject matter expert within a team delivering complex projects.
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to guide people towards shared goals and improved outcomes.
- Sound analytical skills and the ability to interpret information and data to support decision-making.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information to stakeholders and contribute to industry discussions.
- Project management experience encompassing planning, execution, risk management and leadership reporting.
- The ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, industry representatives and advocacy groups.
- Confidence using contemporary collaboration, workflow, information management and reporting tools. A strategic mindset, commercial nous and the ability to connect research and evidence with action.

Powering Skills Organisation is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to diversity and inclusion, people from different cultural backgrounds and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
