- Shift details: 24/7 rotating roster

- Department and Location: Maternity Department, The Mater hospital, North Sydney

- Salary: 41.58 AUD base per hour + super

About the Role

As a New Graduate Midwife, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and confidence while providing safe, respectful and woman-centred care throughout the maternity journey.

You will be supported to develop your skills across areas including:

- Antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
- Supporting women during labour and birth
- Maternal and newborn assessment and ongoing care
- Recognition and escalation of clinical concerns
- Supporting breastfeeding and early parenting
- Documentation and clinical handover
- Working collaboratively with obstetric, neonatal and multidisciplinary teams
- Promoting respectful,



culturally safe and individualised maternity care

About You

We are looking for a new graduate who is:

- Eligible for registration as a Registered Midwife with Ahpra
- Passionate about providing safe, respectful and woman-centred care
- Enthusiastic about learning and developing clinical skills
- A strong communicator and team player
- Able to work effectively in a busy maternity environment
- Committed to career development and reflective practice
- Compassionate, respectful and non-judgemental
- Willing to ask questions, seek support and take opportunities to learn
