A vacancy exists for a full time GP in an accredited General Practice facility in Maclean, NSW. A multidisciplinary team workplace offers mentorship and support for the right person.

Maclean is in the heart of the Northern Rivers region in NSW. It boasts great educational facilities for both primary and high school levels.

The population of Maclean is approximately 3,000 and it is 2 hours from the Gold Coast.

Possible Visiting Medical Officer position for Maclean District Hospital

Qualifications

n

n
- The GP we seek must have at least 2 years of general practice experience.
n
- The GP must attend the ALS course (if not already done so within the last 3 years) within the first year at the practice.
n
- The GP must be competent in general practice medicine, including general medicine and surgery, paediatrics,



gynaecology, preventive health, chronic disease management, and mental health.
n
- The GP will be expected to competently perform the following procedures: Pap smears, vaccinations, CPR.
n
- It is desirable, but not essential, that the GP has experience in the excision of simple skin lesions.
n
- At least 2 years post qualification experience
n
- Experience in managing chronic diseases is desirable.
n
- Experience in general practice environment
n
- Demonstrate a knowledge of and compliance with all relevant legislation and common law obligations.
n
- Demonstrate patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs.
