ABBA Engineering is growing our FIFO Dewatering & Projects Team, and we're looking for experienced Dewatering Technicians and Dewatering Supervisors to join us.

About the Roles

n

As a Dewatering Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate the dewatering team to ensure projects and site activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

n

Your duties will include:

n

n
- Supervising and coordinating Dewatering Technicians and site personnel
n
- Planning and coordinating daily dewatering activities and work priorities
n
- Overseeing the installation, operation and maintenance of pumps, pipelines and dewatering infrastructure
n
- Monitoring dewatering systems and ensuring they operate effectively
n




- Coordinating HDPE pipeline fabrication, poly welding and installation activities
n
- Supervising excavation, trenching, backfilling and pipeline installation works
n
- Coordinating the operation of mobile plant and site equipment
n
- Conducting inspections and ensuring preventative maintenance and breakdown activities are completed
n
- Reading drawings, work packs and project documentation
n
- Monitoring job progress and providing updates to management
n
- Ensuring work is completed in accordance with company procedures, client requirements and site standards
n
- Promoting a solid safety culture and ensuring all team members follow site safety requirements
n
- Identifying hazards, managing risks and reporting incidents or issues as required
n
- Supporting the training, development and performance of team members
n
- Working collaboratively with clients, site personnel and other contractors
n

n

As a Dewatering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the installation, operation and maintenance of dewatering systems across mining sites.

n

Your duties will include:

n

n
- Installing and maintaining pumps, pipelines and dewatering infrastructure
n
- Operating and monitoring dewatering systems
n
- Assisting with HDPE pipeline fabrication and poly welding
n
- Excavation, trenching, backfilling and pipeline installation
n
- Operating mobile plant, including excavators, skid steers, loaders and telehandlers
n
- Performing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
n
- Reading drawings and assisting with project installations
n




- Identifying and reporting equipment faults and site hazards
n
- Working safely and effectively within mining environments
n
- Supporting the team to meet project and operational requirements
n

About You

n

We're looking for practical, safety-focused and reliable professionals with experience in one or more of the following:

n

n
- Dewatering operations
n
- Pump maintenance or mechanical fitting
n
- Mining maintenance
n
- HDPE/poly welding
n
- Civil construction or earthworks
n
- Mining project or site services
n

n

For the Dewatering Supervisor position, experience leading a team in a mining, dewatering, mechanical or civil environment will be highly regarded. Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills are essential.

- Current Australian Driver's Licence (MR or HR preferred)

- Telehandler, Excavator and Skid Steer tickets
n
- High Risk Work Licence

- Poly Welding / HDPE qualifications or experience
