Small Talk Speech Pathology is seeking a warm, experienced and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to join our established practice in Mansfield as an independent contractor.

You'll step into an existing paediatric caseload, work with families who value quality support, and choose the days, hours and client numbers that suit your life. With furnished therapy rooms, clinical resources, administrative support and strong referral pathways already in place, you can focus on what you do best: helping children and adolescents communicate, connect and participate with confidence.

About the practice
n
Located in beautiful North East Victoria in the High Country, Small Talk Speech Pathology supports children and adolescents with a broad range of communication needs, including:

- Developmental language disorder
n
- Speech sound disorders
n
- Childhood Apraxia of Speech
n
- Literacy difficulties
n
- Autism
n
- AAC and complex communication needs
n
n

About the opportunity
n
This flexible contractor role is ideal for a Speech Pathologist who values autonomy while also seeking professional connections and practical support.
n
You can nominate your preferred availability and client numbers, with opportunities to provide assessment and intervention in the clinic, visit schools and collaborate with families, educators and other professionals.

About you
n

- Enjoys working with children, adolescents and their families
n
- Provides respectful, strengths-based and neuroaffirming support
n
- Communicates warmly, clearly and professionally
n
- Values collaboration with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams
n
- Can work independently while contributing positively to a supportive practice
n
- Has experience or an interest in speech sound disorders, language, literacy, autism, AAC or social communication
n

Contract arrangements
n
Contractor remuneration will be negotiated according to experience, services provided and the agreed practice arrangement. You will retain flexibility over your availability and the number of clients you choose to accept.

Essential requirements
n
The successful contractor will require:
n
n
- A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology
n
- Current Speech Pathology Australia membership and eligibility for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status
n
- An Australian Business Number
n
- A current Working with Children Check
n
- A current National Police Check
n
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
n
- A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
n
- Compliance with relevant professional, privacy and record-keeping obligations
