FORMWORK CARPENTER

KPI Labour Hire is currently recruiting skilled Formwork Carpenters to join our expanding team on ongoing projects throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. This is a excellent chance to lock in steady work on EBA rates alongside leading civil and infrastructure contractors, working across substations, terminal stations, data centres, bridges, pump stations and large-scale industrial projects. In this position, you will be tasked with producing quality formwork while upholding the highest standards of safety, workmanship and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Erecting, setting out and stripping formwork in line with drawings and specifications
n
- Formwork to walls, columns, slabs, decks, beams, footings and pits
n
- Assembling and fixing formwork panels, metal props, soldiers, walers, brackets and clamps
n
- Operating with proprietary formwork systems
n
- Setting out, levelling, plumbing and squaring formwork ahead of the pour
n
- Supporting concrete pouring, screeding and finishing activities
n
- Stripping, cleaning, repairing and stacking formwork ready for reuse
n
- Carrying out steel fixing, conduit laying and pipe laying tasks as needed
n
- Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications
n
- Completing work safely, on schedule and to a high standard of quality
n
- Adhering to site safety procedures and company policies
n




- Working cooperatively with supervisors, operators and construction crews
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Trade-qualified Carpenter with relevant qualifications, or proven formwork experience
n
- At least 2 years' experience across formwork, carpentry or civil construction
n
- Proven ability assembling and fixing formwork systems
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
- Capable of sustained physically demanding manual work
n
- Current Construction Induction (White Card)
n
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and best practice
n
- Prepared to work across a range of project sites throughout Victoria
n
- Experience with proprietary formwork systems will be well regarded
n
- Background in steel fixing, conduit laying or pipe laying is a plus
n
- Previous work on substations, terminal stations or data centre projects is well regarded
n
- VESI training and plant equipment tickets are a plus
n
- Prepared to complete a Medical and Police Check
n
