ING Australia's Compliance team is seeking an experienced Manager, Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to help protect our customers, business and the broader financial system from financial crime.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, FIU, you'll lead complex investigations, transform intelligence into actionable insights, and play a key role in identifying and mitigating emerging financial crime risks across money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions, fraud, and other illicit activities. You'll work closely with regulators, law enforcement and industry partners, helping shape ING's intelligence capability while strengthening our AML/CTF framework and transaction monitoring program.

What you'll do

Lead complex financial crime investigations and intelligence analysis across AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and other financial crime matters.

Generate intelligence-led insights from transaction data, customer activity and external sources to identify emerging risks and typologies.

Partner with AUSTRAC, Fintel Alliance, law enforcement agencies and industry stakeholders to support the detection and disruption of financial crime.

Support and enhance ING's Transaction Monitoring Program by identifying detection gaps and recommending improvements to controls and processes.

Deliver high-quality reports, intelligence briefings and strategic recommendations to senior leaders, regulators and governance forums.

What we're looking for

5+ years' experience in Financial Crime Compliance, AML/CTF, financial intelligence, investigations or a related discipline.

Robust capability in conducting complex investigations and translating data, intelligence and trends into actionable outcomes.

Deep understanding of Australian AML/CTF obligations, financial crime typologies, transaction monitoring and regulatory expectations.

Proven ability to build trusted relationships with regulators, law enforcement, industry bodies and senior stakeholders.
