About the Job

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

n

n
- Planning and managing civil engineering aspects of residential construction projects.
n
- Preparing specifications and technical documentation.
n
- Conducting site inspections and evaluating soil, drainage and foundation conditions.
n
- Coordinating engineering requirements with architects, surveyors, builders and subcontractors.
n
- Ensuring construction works comply with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), local council requirements and relevant legislation.
n
- Monitoring construction progress and providing technical guidance during project delivery.
n
- Reviewing engineering calculations, structural reports and construction methodologies.
n
- Assisting with cost estimates, project scheduling and resource planning.
n
- Identifying engineering risks and implementing practical solutions.
n
- Liaising with regulatory authorities and consultants to obtain required approvals.
n
- Preparing project reports, engineering documentation and compliance records.
n




- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality, safety and efficiency.
n

Essential Selection Criteria

n

Applicants must have:

n

n
- A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
n
- At least three years of relevant post-qualification experience as a Civil Engineer.
n
- Robust knowledge of Australian engineering principles, construction practices and relevant legislation.
n
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
n
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project coordination skills.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
n

Desirable

n

n
- Experience in residential housing developments.
n
- Knowledge of Victorian planning and building requirements.
n
- Experience using engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar.
n
- Current Australian driver's license.
