Job Description

We are a global team helping to evolve and elevate the built environment across sectors including social infrastructure, transit, technology and logistics, and commercial and corporate real estate, whilst focusing on solutions that promote long term health and wellbeing for all.

The Role

n

Due to a healthy pipeline of work, we are looking for Fire Safety Engineers to join our team based in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to work on a range of projects.

n

Responsibilities

n

n




- Applying and developing fire engineering expertise across large-scale projects, from concept and design development through to construction and building occupation
n
- Contributing to, developing and/or leading performance-based design briefs, fire engineering assessments and technical reports across a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects
n
- Undertaking fire engineering analysis and advisory services, including the application of computational modelling techniques for fluid flow, fire dynamics and evacuation, as appropriate to project requirements and experience
n
- Contributing to the successful delivery of projects and client outcomes across a variety of markets, with opportunities to take on increasing levels of technical, project and client responsibility
n
- Working collaboratively with senior team members and supporting project management and delivery, while contributing to the development and mentoring of junior team members where appropriate
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Experience delivering projects in Fire Safety within a consulting environment
n
- A relevant Engineering qualification (preferably in Fire Engineering) alongside a thorough understanding of the Building Code of Australia
n




- Experience in the preparation of Performance Based Design Briefs, Fire Engineering Reports and Fire Engineering Strategies
n
- A strong background in the use of computer-based modelling alongside exposure to negotiating with approval authorities on performance-based designs
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both written and verbal) when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
