We're seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Hand to support the daily operation of the kitchen at Busy Bees at Tamworth. Working alongside the centre's Cook or Chef, you will help maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen while supporting the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for children aged from birth to five years.
n
This is a permanent part-time position working 15 hours per week , based in Tamworth, NSW.

What you'll do
n
n
- Assist with basic food preparation and the serving of meals and snacks
n
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
n
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen environment
n
- Support the Cook or Chef with food storage, stock rotation and kitchen organization
n
- Follow safe food handling, allergy management and hygiene procedures
n
- Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies
n
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team and educators
n
- Follow all centre policies relating to child safety, food safety and workplace health and safety
n
n
What you'll bring
n
n
- A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing and aligning with our Busy Bees values
n
- Previous experience working in a kitchen, hospitality, catering or food service environment
n
- Knowledge of safe food handling, kitchen hygiene and cleaning practices
n
- An understanding of allergies, dietary requirements and cross-contamination risks
n
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
n
- A reliable, positive and collaborative approach
n
- The ability to complete the physical requirements of the role, including standing, cleaning and safely handling kitchen equipment
n
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
n
