Role Description The Architects Team Leader is a full-time, in office role based in Southbank, VIC. This position leads a team of architects and designers through all project phases, including concept development, design documentation, coordination with consultants, and support during construction. Daily responsibilities include managing project workflows, reviewing design proposals and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and guiding the team in delivering human-centered, commercially sound solutions.

The Team

Leader collaborates with senior leadership on project resourcing, schedules, and quality assurance, and represents the practice in client meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagements. The role also involves mentoring team members,



promoting best practices in design and documentation, and contributing to the continuous improvement of studio processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong architectural design and documentation skills, including experience across residential, commercial, healthcare, childcare, mixed-use, and masterplanned projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with digital collaboration tools.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding project teams, coordinating multidisciplinary consultants, and managing project timelines and deliverables.
- Solid knowledge of Australian building codes, planning regulations, accessibility standards, and best practices in sustainable and human-centered design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and maintain high-quality output under time constraints.
- Registration as an Architect in Australia (or eligibility for registration) and a relevant tertiary qualification in Architecture.
- Experience in a design-led practice environment and a portfolio demonstrating thoughtful, commercially intelligent outcomes is highly desirable.
