Support the delivery of road and bridge infrastructure projects while assisting with project planning, budgeting, tendering, contract administration and stakeholder engagement. RoadTek is seeking a permanent, full-time Assistant Project Manager to join our Wide Bay Operations team in Bundaberg. In this AO4 role, you will support the delivery of civil infrastructure activities across construction, maintenance, rehabilitation and preconstruction projects.

Working alongside experienced project professionals, you will gain practical exposure to the planning, coordination and delivery of road and bridge infrastructure projects. You will also contribute to estimating, tendering, bid management and operational activities.

What You Will Do In this varied role, you will:





- support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects and activities
- assist with budgeting, programming, procurement, expenditure monitoring and priority management
- contribute to tender pricing, production rates, unit rates and local project information
- help prepare project documentation and technical specifications covering scope, time, cost and quality
- apply project management systems and techniques to improve project performance
- assist with contract administration and liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- maintain effective communication with project teams and internal and external stakeholders
- contribute to quality, safety and environmental procedures that support consistent project delivery
- capture project outcomes and lessons learned to help strengthen best-practice approaches.

What You Will Bring You will be organised, solutions-focused and comfortable working collaboratively in a project environment. You will apply project management principles and practical knowledge to achieve project outcomes, exercise sound judgement, understand when matters need to be escalated and plan carefully to deliver results. You will also demonstrate respect for relevant legislation, policies and standards, with an awareness of risk and appropriate mitigation strategies. Previous civil construction industry experience and qualifications in civil supervision, leadership and management, or project management would be highly regarded.

Before you apply

You must hold a current Queensland C class driver's licence or equivalent. Travel to other locations may be required for varying periods, with applicable expenses and allowances provided. A criminal history check will also be undertaken before appointment because the role has access to sensitive data.
