About the role

Coachair Pty Ltd is seeking skilled Service Technicians / Auto Electricians to join our Brisbane based team. As part of Australia and New Zealand's leading provider of bus air-conditioning solutions, you will be working on a wide range of up-to-date diesel and electric bus A/C systems, supporting some of the country's largest transport operators.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing advanced HVAC systems. You will be provided with a fully equipped service vehicle, along with the tools and technology needed to perform your role efficiently.

Successful candidates will be required to meet Coachair's employment criteria, which may include (but is not limited to) a criminal history check and a full medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.

What you'll be doing

As a Technician:

- Commissioning, servicing and repairing air-conditioning and refrigeration systems on modern buses and coaches
- Performing advanced electrical diagnostics and repairs across auto-electrical and HVAC systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical and electrical faults in both diesel and electric bus A/C units
- Carrying out preventative maintenance, fault-finding and system performance checks
- Completing warranty repairs and working on newly released Coachair systems, ensuring quality outcomes and compliance with manufacturer standards
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with industry standards, safety requirements and Coachair procedures
- Preparing accurate service reports, job cards and supporting documentation
- Delivering professional customer service while building strong, long-term client relationships
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across workshop and field service operations

What we're looking for





- Qualified Refrigeration Technician with relevant experience (certified AAC02 preferred)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of refrigeration experience required
- Qualified auto electrician - preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with customers
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid Australian driver's licence
