Company Description Banksia Palliative Care Service is a not-for-profit organization that provides expert, free palliative care support to clients and their carers in the community. As the sole Victorian Government-funded community palliative care provider for Banyule, Nillumbik, and Whittlesea, Banksia delivers home-based, person-centered care to people living with a progressive terminal illness. Services include medical and nursing care, allied health support, and a volunteer program designed to meet individual needs.

Role Description Banksia is seeking an experienced and highly organised Business Administration Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (four days per week).
As our Business Administration Officer, you will have a diverse, advanced skillset and will provide high-quality administrative support across a broad range of organisational activities.
This is a varied and rewarding role that would suit someone who enjoys multitasking and is adept at keeping things running smoothly. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support across multiple areas, including human resources,
training and development, engagement and clinical.
- Book keeping and basic financial administration.
- Provision of high-level IT support for staff – high computer competence is essential.
- Supporting communications, both internal and external.
- Assisting with the coordination of staff wellbeing, engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Development of schedules, spreadsheets, documents and presentations.
- Varied tasks as requested, including coordinating meetings and associated tasks including agendas and minutes; providing administrative support for projects and other organisational programs, etc.
Required Skills and ExperienceYou’re someone who is very patient, loves being organised, enjoys variety, and likes helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll have a robust history of managing confidentiality in prior workplaces, have excellent administration experience and document preparation skills, and confidence using technology (including highly proficient in Microsoft 365) and learning new systems. You’ll be able to juggle competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
